Keep our Sand and Sea Plastic Free

The animation ‘Keep our sand and Sea Plastic Free’ is an awareness campaign video created for the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI), the UK Travel Foundation and the TUI Care Foundation.

The initiative brings together tourists, tourism related businesses and residents from across the island of Cyprus, in an effort to reduce the use of single-use plastics on the island’s beaches, so that less plastics will end up entering into the waters.

The aim of the video is to create awareness regarding the project and educate the audience on the best practices that they need to follow. The cut version featured above was disseminated on social media and traditional media channels. Whereas the longer version of the animation was used in various presentations in schools.

In order to effectively communicate the messages of the campaign, the animation incorporates elaborate and realistic designs of both the terrestrial and marine environments. Additionally, a variety of animated characters have been incorporated in the film in order to make the animation as inclusive and engaging as possible.
